Rain/Snow Mix Going to Try to Ruin Your Commute Home
Some areas of the island could see a little snow accumulation.

Just when it looked as if Mother Nature would play nice on Wednesday, a day after more than three inches of rain fell on some parts of Long Island, the National Weather Service says rain and snow are coming Wednesday afternoon, just in time for the rush-hour commute.
A rain and snow mix is likely to become all snow after 3 p.m. across Nassau and parts of western Suffolk, the NWS said. Less than a half-inch of snow accumulation is possible in some areas.
Rain is expected to continue to mix with snow through the afternoon as one moves east across the island, with no snow accumulation predicted for the East End.
