Patchogue Gas Station Employee Hurt During Attempted Robbery
Incident occurred Monday morning, police say.

An Patchogue gas station attendant was hurt during an attempted robbery Monday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at the Citgo station at 283 W. Main Street, at the corner of Waverly Avenue, at 10:15 a.m. Monday, police said.
Police said a man armed with a knife demanded money from a male employee. The assailant then wrestled the employee to the ground and attempted to take money out of employee’s pocket, police said. The employee suffered a laceration during the struggle, police said.

Police did not have info Wednesday on whether the employee received medical treatment. No arrests have been made.
