
Racial, sexual, and gang-related graffiti was found in a Wantagh neighborhood and near the high school Friday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
At 7 a.m., police responded to Beltagh Avenue after a 911 call about graffiti, cops said. Responders found garbage cans had been spray painted on garbage cans in front of a home in the neighborhood.
Investigators found that similar graffiti had been spray painted on residential and public properties along Beltagh Avenue and on the walking bridge to Wantagh High School. The graffiti involved “racial, gang, and sexual related ‘tags,’” officials said.

Similar spray painted tags have been found at Mepham High School and on Camp Avenue in Bellmore, cops said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
