Cops: Oceanside Man Drove Drunk with Infant Son
Incident happened Saturday night in Oceanside, cops said.

An Oceanside man had his infant son with him when he drove drunk and rear-ended another car Saturday night, Nassau County Police said.
Andres Collado, 27, was driving in Oceanside when he rear-ended a car that was attempting to make a left turn onto Long Beach Road, cops said.
Officers responded to the collision and found Collado had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol on his breath, cops said.

Collado was arrested at the scene where officials discovered he had three open Nassau County warrants for first-degree criminal contempts, harassment, and violation of probation, cops said.
Police also found Collado’s 1-month-old son secured in the backseat of the car. The infant was released to his mother at the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported.
Officials charged Collado with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law, aggravated unlicensed operation, and endangering the welfare of a child. He will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
