Orange County Man Sentenced For Stealing Stamps From PO
He was selling the stamps via an online marketplace, police said.

WESTTOWN, NY — A postal worker who was accused of stealing thousands of dollars' worth of stamps from the post office where he worked was sentenced Monday. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr said Antonio Pinheiro, 44, of Westtown, Orange County, pleaded guilty in Peekskill City Court to petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
He provided full up-front restitution of $6,860 and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge.
Pinheiro had originally been charged in December with felony third-degree grand larceny.

Authorities said he was employed at the Peekskill post office where he stole about 14,000 stamps, which were taken during the time period of July to October 2017.
The value of the stolen stamps was more than $6,000.

Pinheiro was selling the stamps via an online marketplace, police said.
His arrest Dec. 4, 2018, followed a joint investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the District Attorney's Investigation Division.
