Tornado Watch In Effect For Parts Of Hudson Valley Tuesday

Parts of the region are under a severe thunderstorm watch as well.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A tornado watch has been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley Tuesday, and there is also a severe thunderstorm watch in effect. The National Weather Service said the tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m. for Columbia, Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster counties.

Besides the tornado watch, there is the possibility for torrential downpours within the thunderstorms that are in the forecast.

Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties are under a severe thunderstorm watch in effect Tuesday until 11 p.m., according to the NWS.
