Voter's Guide: Mineola School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for Tuesday's vote.

Residents in the Mineola School District will vote on the $89,664,263 proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.
The proposal calls for a 2.12 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.37 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap.
Four candidates are vying for two open seats on the Mineola Board of Education, The Island Now reports.

Candidates include incumbent Christine Napolitano and her running mate Brian Widman and Joy Renner who is running alongside Mark Swensen.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Jackson Ave & Meadow Drive.
