HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There was a lot of news in the Hudson Valley in the past week. Much of it was about weather — first unsettled and then severe.
We don't need to show you our stories about the many storm and flood Outlooks, Advisories, Watches and Warnings — your communities lived through them or gratefully were missed.
Of the other most-read stories last week, three were tragedies — of different kinds. A police officer succumbed, as so many of our local first responders have — to a 9/11 related illness. A young man died too soon. And an elderly couple died when a husband determined to save his wife from being bedridden in a nursing home shot her and then himself in a local hospital.
