Eagle Scout project took place at Adventures in Learning in the Hagedorn Center in Manhasset.

Toby Costello of Manhasset was recognized for receiving an Eagle Scout Award during a reception at the Port Washington Yacht Club on Nov. 30.

Costello earned more than 21 merit badges and fulfilled many requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor preparedness. He was also required to plan, develop, and lead an Eagle Service Project that took place at Adventures in Learning in the Hagedorn Center, in Manhasset.

The project involved the full renovation of the administrative office for the executive director and the establishment of a reading alcove where special reading services could be provided to at-risk children. Costello is now attending Nassau Community College studying Marketing Psychology.
