Voter's Guide: New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for Tuesday's vote.

Residents in the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District will vote on the $36,794,425 proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.
The proposal calls for a 1.99 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a .90 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap. A passed budget and a failed budget has a difference of $28.13 annually for the average taxpayer.
Four candidates are vying for three open seats on the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Board of Education.

David Del Santo and James Reddan are running unopposed while Jennifer DeRocchis and Frank Miranda compete for the final spot, The Island Now reports.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Manor Oaks School Library.
