2 Westchester Men Charged In Brutal Attack On NYPD Lieutenant
24-year-old New Rochelle resident Brian Innocent and 24-year-old Yonkers resident Marquise Webb will be back in court on Feb. 27.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Prosecutors say two Westchester men will face felony charges for a subway station attack that left an NYPD lieutenant with lingering injuries.
The Bronx District Attorney, Darcel D. Clark, announced that two Westchester men were indicted on first degree assault and other charges for punching and kicking an NYPD transit lieutenant in a Bronx subway station.
"New Yorkers must be able to use public transportation in safety," Clark said. "The defendants not only allegedly jeopardized the safety of straphangers going about their commute, they also allegedly brutally attacked an officer who was trying to defuse a dangerous situation, which is his job."

According to investigators, on November 11, shortly before 9 p.m., Lieutenant Gypsy Pichardo of Transit District 3 responded to a fight on a northbound No. 1 train at the 238th Street station. When the lieutenant asked 24-year-old Brian Innocent, of New Rochelle, and 24-year-old Marquise Webb, of Yonkers, to leave the station, they refused and attempted to enter another subway car. When Pichardo attempted to arrest the two men, he was allegedly punched and stomped on by them. Innocent and Webb were later apprehended by police officers of the 50th Precinct at the 225th Street station.
