New Rochelle Tears Down Former Rowing Club Building
The waterfront building was badly damaged by recent storms.

Having recently approved its demolition, the city recently tore down the historic New Rochelle Rowing Club building.
The damaged building had been deemed unsafe, and in April the City Council approved a contract with Capital Industries Corp. for a little over $120,000 to raze the structure. A clock tower cupola that rested above the building was spared.
