ADULT BOATING SAFETY COURSE

This seven week course for adults ages 18 and over will be taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 18-8. Topics covered include: Boat Handling and Operation, Navigating the Waterways, Legal and Safety Requirements, Marine Radio, and Water Sports. The course has been developed to support the particular needs of the novice and average boater in this area. Course materials must be picked up and read prior to class. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the course. This certificate satisfies the New York State requirement to legally operate a personal watercraft, and may entitle you to an insurance discount on your boat.
