The Custer Institute, in association with the Great South Bay Amateur Radio Club (GSBARC), will hold its fourth annual conference, "A Celebration of Amateur Radio" at Custer. The event will include an amateur radio licensing exam at noon (additional fee), lectures and demonstrations from 3:00-10:00 PM, and a special event station where amateur radio operators will be broadcasting and making contacts with other operators around the world from 8:00 AMSaturday morning until 8:00 AM Sunday morning. The event will alsoinclude (weather-permitting) stargazing through Custer's telescopes from 10 PM until midnight. Admission: $5 (free for Custer Interns, GSBARC and other participants).
