The sixth annual Family Scrabble Festival will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the community room at the shul. All teen, preteen and adult Scrabble players are invited to compete for fun and prizes. Players can also challenge master Scrabble player John D. Williams Jr., executive director of the National Scrabble Association, who has played as many as six contestants at a time at previous festivals. Family Scrabble is co-sponsored by the synagogue and the National Scrabble Association.
