Mattituck High School Clubs to Participate in First Annual Martin Luther King Week of Service
The clubs are seeking donations from the public.

Mattituck’s CSO and SADD Clubs have joined together with the Town of Southold Youth Bureau to participate in the first annual Martin Luther King Day (Week) of Service to help commemorate Dr.’s King’s principles and to help our students raise awareness about community needs.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the clubs will be putting together a number of “Birthday in a Box”(es) to donate to CAST in Greenport which services needy families on the entire North Fork.
The idea behind “Birthday in a Box” is to gather items that a struggling family might need or use in order to provide a celebration for a child’s birthday.

The Boxes are decorated in birthday wrapping paper and contain all of the items that a parent may need in order to have a birthday celebration for their child.
The clubs are asking for donations from staff and students/families to help fill up the boxes and to help support some of our struggling families in the community.
