Police: Woman Drives Drunk in Wrong Lane, Forces Drivers Off Road, Almost Hits Police Car Twice
The incident occurred on Friday night.

A Wading River woman was arrested after driving drunk in the wrong lane towards oncoming traffic, forcing other drivers off the road and almost crashing into the police car in Cutchogue on Friday night, according to Southold Town Police.
Marsha Beale, 54, was seen driving a blue Hyundai eastbound in the westbound lane of CR-48 shortly before 11:30 p.m., police said.
A marked police unit tried to stop the car using lights and sirens, police said.

Beale almost hit the police car on two separate occasions, according to police.
She continued eastbound in the wrong lane forcing oncoming traffic off the roadway but was eventually stopped by police on Route 48 and Cox Lane, according to police.

Beale was given and failed several roadside sobriety tests, according to police.
She was arrested and transported back to police headquarters where she was processed and held for arraignment.
