
A man died in a fiery crash in Baldwin early Sunday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said the victim, Gregory Balmir, 42, was dirving a 1996 Toyota Camry south on Grand Avenue at 4:01 a.m. when the crash occurred.
The car crossed over two lanes of traffic at Woodside Avenue and struck a utility pole, police said. The car burst into flames and continued to cross Kings Parkway before striking an unoccupied Grand Avenue building, police said.

Balmir was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives did not confirm what caused the crash. Their investigation is ongoing.
