Laura's Voice Fundraiser to Support Suicide Awareness, Prevention
Laura was a Northport graduate who committed suicide by train.
The second annual Laura’s Voice Suicide Awareness Fundraiser is in memory of Laura, a Northport graduate who committed suicide by train.
All money will go to the Laura’s Voice fund, which supports suicide awareness and prevention.
Laura’s mother, Paula DiMeo-Stayne, is the face behind Laura’s Voice and is in charge of the event.

The fundraiser will be held at The Crooked Rail, 61 Larkfield Road, on Friday, June 19.
Support a good cause while enjoying music, food, 50/50 raffles and vendors selling jewelry and clothing.

“Our fund goes to defray burials of children who committed suicide, as it took us years to pay it of,” DiMeo-Stayne said.
Laura’s Voice sends in food, a cleaning lady, provides resources for free counseling, outreach, crisis counseling and more.
“Sometimes, I just sit at a strangers wake to let them know someone is there who gets it,” DiMeo-Stayne said.
Festivities will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Cost is $15 per person.
