Northport Advances to 3rd Round on 'The Challenge'

The academic team from is moving to round three on this sesason's MSG Varsity’s TV quiz show The Challenge.

Northport will face Deer Park high School in an episode that will debut May 16 at 5:30 p.m. on Channel 14 (Cablevision).

The Tigers' dynamic academic team includes Captain Eli Doris,  Brent Bomkamp, Matt Dannenberg, Dylan Defeo and Sean Malone. The academic advisor is David Trachtenberg. Competing teams are quizzed on their knowledge of history, arts and literature, current events, math and science before a live audience.

"The heat is on for these kids, but they can handle it," host Jared Cotter said. "When you make it to round three, you’ve demonstrated that your team is prepared and can perform under pressure. These students are at the top of their game. As we move on the atmosphere on the set becomes electric.”
