Man Wanted in 6 Knifepoint Holdups Nearby

Nassau Police update search for man wanted for robbing six stores in North Woodmere, Valley Stream, and North Valley Stream since February.

A man wanted for robbing four businesses nearby since February is believed to have held up two others, Nassau County Police said Monday.

Officials said that they updated their original investigation when two similar robberies were reported. Now, police say the same man robbed a total of six stores at knifepoint in Valley Stream, North Valley Stream, and Woodmere in the past two months.

The man wore a ski mask or scarf to cover the lower part of his face and carried a large knife in each holdup, cops said. He then demanded money from the register and took the entire cash drawer with him as he fled the scene, police said.
