Young Elwood Artists Take Artistic Talents to New Heights
Eight students were recently inducted into the National Art Honor Society.

Eight students from Elwood-John H. Glenn High School were recently recognized for their exceptional talent and interest in art.
The students pledged their commitment to share their artistic abilities and love for art with the rest of the world at a National Art Honor Society induction ceremony on Thursday, April 16.

The newest members of the National Art Honor Society include: Isabella Alathourian, Lauren Algerio, Whitney Arnow, Michael DiMartini, Patrick Giambruno, Nina Koscica, Katherine McVetty and Nicole Sangirardi.
During the ceremony, each inductee was invited up to the podium where he or she received a certificate and lit a ceremonial candle.

“Refine you craft and continue to work at it,” said Dr. Furman, Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. “You all have the ability to bring out emotion in people that they might not have the opportunity to experience any other way.”
