Don't forget to vote May 21 if you live in the Croton-Harmon or Ossining school district. Here's what you need to know.

New York residents are asked to vote on their local school district’s budget and board of education May 19. Here are fast facts about the elections in Croton-Harmon and in Ossining.

CROTON-HARMON

Voting information

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Croton Harmon High School.

Board of Education

Two seats are up for vote.

  • Proposed for 2019-20: $48,513,218
  • Increase over current spending: 2.84%
  • Tax levy increase: 2.76%

Also on the ballot:

  • Authorize the district to purchase vehicles using bond anticipation notes over a five-year period, up to $295,000
  • The proposed Croton Free Library tax levy, in the amount of $869,674

Voting information

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Ossining High School.

Board of Education

Two seats are to be filled on the Ossining Board of Education. Aaron Spring and Melissa M. Banta are running; click on their names to see their bios on the district website.

  • Proposed for 2019-20: $134,024,370
  • Increase over current spending: 4.1%
  • Tax levy increase: 2.95%
