Voter's Guide: Oyster Bay School Budget, Board Election

Residents in the Oyster Bay School District will vote on the $55,409,484 proposed budget for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.

The proposal calls for a 1.52 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.52 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Four candidates are looking to fill two Board of Education seats:

• Todd E. Cronin
• Maryann Santos
• Laurie G. Kowalsky
• David Asher

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Oyster Bay High School.
