The Week in Review for Pearl River Patch

PEARL RIVER, NY — There was a lot of local and regional news on Pearl River Patch this past week. A gasoline-laden barge ran aground on the Hudson River, immediately raising alarms among many about the Coast Guard's proposal to put several long-term barge anchorages along our stretch of the river.
As the nation enters the last week of tax season, officials got together to warn of the many clever schemes by which con artists are scamming companies, tax preparers and taxpayers.
