NY Presidential Primary 2016: A Patch News Roundup

Clinton, Trump, Kasich, Sanders—what a week in the Hudson Valley.

I suppose, being New Yorkers, we assume we are the center of attention, more so now because our state’s president primary is just around the corner.

And it seems like it’s been quite a while since New Yorkers had an actual say in the eventual nominee for either the Republicans or the Democrats.

In the past seven days, the Hudson Valley saw a visit from Ohio Governor John Kasich at Iona College last Saturday, a campaign stop Tuesday in Poughkeepsie at Marist College by Bernie Sanders and a commuter hassle Thursday because of Donald Trump protesters in Manhattan at a Republican gala fundraiser near Grand Central Terminal.

Now there's a double header scheduled Sunday with a get-out-the-vote event with Chelsea Clinton subbing for her mother Hillary Clinton in Kingston and, once again in Poughkeepsie, a Trump rally at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.
