Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run in Coram
Man dies after being hit by car Saturday morning, police say.

Police are searching for a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in Coram Saturday morning.
According to police, a man was walking on Route 112 between Granny Road and Route 25 when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling north at about 5:55 a.m.
The vehicle, believed to be light in color, possibly tan, with front-end damage, fled the scene northbound toward Route 25, police said.

The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information about the incident to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
