PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A Port Jefferson man missing since Tuesday was found safe, police said Thursday. Luke Bowen, 62, was discharged from Southside Hospital on Tuesday and went missing. He was found later found unharmed, police said early Thursday. Bowen's disappearance triggered a Silver Alert, a public notification program among Suffolk County law enforcement departments to share information with media outlets about individuals who have been reported missing, especially senior citizens with disabilities.
