A proposed school budget for the 2018/19 year in the Port Jefferson School District was approved by voters Tuesday. The $43.9 million budget, which represents a 2.36 percent spending increase over the current year, passed by a margin of 774-362. Proposition 2 regarding the use of capital reserve funds passed by a margin of 874-257. Rene Tidwell, Tracy Zamek and Ryan Walker won seats on the school board.
