Brooklyn Teen Charged For Crown Heights Deli Murder, Cops Say
Rennie Patterson is one of two 17-year-olds to be charged with murder in Brooklyn this week, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Police arrested a teenager for the fatal shooting of a Crown Heights man outside a Brooklyn deli in December.
Rennie Patterson, 17, has been charged with murder for shooting 32-year-old John Barnes in the head outside Crown Deli Supermarket on St. John's Place and Schenectady Avenue on Dec. 16, police said.
Patterson, of Borough Park, was the second Brooklyn teenager to be charged with murder this week: Justin Delapara, also 17, was arrested for shooting a 16-year-old in the head in Bed-Stuy on Wednesday.

Barnes, of Crown Heights, was one of five homicide victims who died in New York City over a particularly violent weekend, police said.
Another Brooklyn man was shot dead outside the Brevoort Houses, a woman found dead on the bank of the Gowanus Canal and a 10-day-old baby died in The Bronx.
