Cops Shoot At, But Miss, Man With Knife In Brooklyn: NYPD
The man and two officers were sent to the hospital after the incident, police said.
BROOKLYN, NY — Police shot at, but did not hit, a man with a knife in a Brooklyn apartment on Monday, landing the suspect and two officers in the hospital, according to police.
The encounter unfolded after cops were called to a home on Hawthorne Street around 7:45 p.m. about a dispute and found a man "acting erratically" inside the apartment, according to police.
When the man took out a knife, one of the officers shot in his direction, police said.

The man, who was not hit by the gunfire, was arrested and taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Two officers were also taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, police said.
The incident is at least the third time police have fired at a suspect in the borough in the last week.

Last week, a man who was roaming the streets in Brownsville with a machete was fatally shot when he charged at officers with the knife. A day earlier, a few miles away in East Flatbush, police shot an unarmed man in the leg after he charged at officers as they arrested another man on Lenox Road, according to NYPD officials.
The investigation into this Monday's incident is ongoing, police said Tuesday.
