Cops: Man Charged in Push-in Burglary at Home of His Friend's Mother
Incident happened Friday night, cops said.

A Brooklyn man faces charges for a push-in burglary at the home of a friend’s mother in Elmont Friday, according to Nassau County Police.
At 10:25 p.m., Syed Adnan Shafquat, 30, knocked on the door of the 48-year-old victim’s home, cops said. When she opened the door, Shafquat pushed into the house and knocked the woman to the ground, police said. Shafquat fled the house with an iPad and jewelry, cops said.
Shafquat, who knows the victim’s daughter, was found in his home and charged without further incident, police said.

Shafquat was charged with first-degree burglary and was arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
