Teen Motorcyclist Killed in E. Farmingdale Crash
Accident occurred early Saturday morning, police say.

An 18-year-old from Bay Shore was killed in a motorcycle crash in East Farmingdale early Saturday, police said.
According to police, James Barnett was making a left turn from Central Avenue onto southbound New Highway when he lost control of a 2006 Honda motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck a metal light signal support pole at about 2:40 a.m., police said.
Barnett sustained a serious head injury and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone who has information about the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
