The following is Purvis’ statement:

Good evening
This is Linda Purvis, Assistant Superintendent for the Scarsdale Public Schools. In view of the impending storm, and because the morning’s forecast is uncertain, we have decided to delay the opening of school tomorrow for two hours. Students who are eligible for District transportation will be picked up at their normal bus stops two hours later than usual.
If we determine that it is not safe to open school at all, you will be called tomorrow morning as soon as that decision is made, but in no case later than 7:30 a.m.. If you do not hear from us by either phone or email, you should assume that school will open on the delayed schedule.
Please stay safe. We hope to see you tomorrow, just a little later than normal.
Thank you.
Linda Purvis
