• Town of Southampton Animal Control Day at the Farm • Southampton, NY ' I Love Hamptons (ilovehamptons.com) — Southampton Town's Animal Control Division has been sharpening its skills with hands-on training at the Suffolk County Farm, focusing on safely handling farm animals residents may own or encounter. Officers refreshed their knowledge of animal health and behavior and strengthened ties with Cornell Cooperative Extension, which remains a key resource for local animal-related guidance and inspections.
   

• Hampton Bays Man Convicted of Assaulting Two Cops (danspapers.com) — A Hampton Bays man has been convicted of assaulting two Southampton Town Police officers after twice fleeing attempts to arrest him on prior driving-related warrants. A Suffolk County jury found him guilty of assault, resisting arrest, and traffic offenses, and he now faces up to seven years in prison when sentenced in September.
