Hampton Bays High School Announces Class of 2015 Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Congratulations to both students.

Hampton Bays High School recently announced the students chosen as the Class of 2015 valedictorian and salutatorian.

Alexandra Peterson and Sarah Jiudice have earned the top spots in their class, respectively, and will be this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian.

Peterson is the school’s first Intel competition participant, has been named a 2015 National Merit semifinalist, an AP Scholar with Honors and is a member of the National Honor Society.

She is also a member of her school’s mock trial team, Key Club and thespian society.

In addition, she participates in jazz band and show choir and has performed at the Hampton Music Educators Association and Suffolk County Music Association’s festivals.

While currently undecided on her college, Peterson intends to study biological sciences with a goal to enter the biomedical research field.

Salutatorian Jiudice is an AP scholar with honors, an all-county academic scholar for basketball, and was named in the top 20 in the National Elks Club Most Valuable Student competition.

She is also an athlete, playing in three varsity sports, soccer, basketball and softball.

Additionally, she is a member of her school’s Student Council and Key Club.
