Car's Faulty Stop Lamps Leads To Drug Arrest
Police initially stopped the man because something was wrong with his car.

YORKTOWN, NY — Faulty stop lamps aided a New York City man is being accused of illegal drug possession. Yorktown police said Nelson Rozon, 44, of West 176th Street in New York, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and inadequate stop lamps.
Police said they saw a brown Honda around 10:45 p.m. Oct. 3 on Crompond Road being operated with inadequate stop lamps and pulled it over. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
The investigation at the scene found the car’s driver — Rozon — had cocaine.

He was taken to Yorktown Police headquarters for processing.
Rozon was released on $200 bail to a family member and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 2.
