Theodosia, the signature restaurant from James Beard Award-winning Chef Vivian Howard, returns to The Sanderling Resort for its second season beginning Mother’s Day weekend. The menu celebrates the flavors, stories, and ingredients of Eastern North Carolina’s coast, with new seasonal additions for 2026. Vivian Howard — who recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show — built Theodosia around the culinary traditions and local ingredients unique to this stretch of the Outer Banks. Reservations available on OpenTable starting May 8.

The Sanderling Socials series returns with Coastal Crab Social — a lively open-air gathering celebrating crab-forward coastal flavors. The menu features mini crab cakes, crab Rangoon dip, corn spoonbread, and crab-crusted chicken, alongside cocktails including an Orange Crush, Vodka Bay Breeze, and Sparkling Citrus Punch. Live music and casual seating on the lawn make this a come-as-you-are evening perfect for mingling, grazing, and enjoying the season. Sanderling Socials run every other Wednesday through September.
