• Ocracoke Express ferry now operating on its summer schedule (wavy.com) — If you rely on the Ocracoke Express, its full summer schedule is now running through Sept. 7, with multiple daily trips between Hatteras and Silver Lake Harbor. The passenger ferry offers a direct, paid route into Ocracoke Village, while the free vehicle ferry continues operating 52 daily departures to the island’s north end. Reservations are strongly encouraged for summer travel.
