VA Oklahoma City raises awareness of malnutrition and the importance of nutrition care for Veterans (va.gov) — Veterans in Oklahoma City can tap into expanded nutrition support and new Healthy Teaching Kitchen classes at the local VA Medical Center, aimed at preventing and treating malnutrition. During National Malnutrition Awareness Week, staff are urging veterans and families to watch for warning signs like unintentional weight loss or food insecurity and to request nutrition consultations, including telehealth and in-person services available through the Oklahoma City VA.
   

2. Report: Some Oklahoma hospitals still not in compliance with price transparency law (okcfox.com) — Several Oklahoma City hospitals, including Mercy and SSM St. Anthony facilities, are called out in a new report for not fully complying with hospital price transparency rules that are supposed to help you compare costs before care. State health officials say noncompliant hospitals can be cited during surveys, and patients can file complaints if they can't easily find required pricing information online.
   

3. New errors reveal $10 million less in Oklahoma County reserve fund (kfor.com) — Oklahoma County officials now say their reserve fund is about $10 million lower than previously believed, shrinking it to roughly $7 million and raising concerns for Oklahoma City–area residents. Leaders blame multiple accounting errors but stress no actual cash was lost and that all approved budget requests remain funded, while a forensic audit of county finances has been recommended.
   

4. Oklahoma firefighters honored at OKC ballpark after surviving wildfire crash (news9.com) — Fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City watched three Harper County volunteer firefighters honored on the field after surviving a terrifying wildfire truck crash earlier this year. Surrounded by family, they reflected on their recovery, faith, and tight-knit bond, while community donations helped replace their destroyed fire truck and add safety technology to the department's fleet.

Oklahoma graduates are struggling under new student loan system (oklahoman.com) — An Oklahoma City single mother with a six-figure income is still struggling to keep up with student loan payments after federal repayment changes tripled her monthly bill. Her story highlights how many Oklahomans are defaulting or facing delinquency, navigating new repayment plans, and seeking help from state programs as they juggle family expenses and the threat of garnished wages or damaged credit.
