5 Fun Things To Do This Weekend In Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Fall festival season is in full swing. And that means plenty of fun things to do this weekend in Bucks County.

Yardley's big Harvest Day festival unfolds on Saturday with lots to see and do in the town's Buttonwood Park. The weekend also brings food trucks, fireworks, and Touch-A-Truck to Falls Township's Community Park.

For those who enjoy history, you can catch "Spirits of the Outlaws," which will share the exploits of Bucks County's notorious Doan Gang through poetry, music, and stories at the ArtWRKD Gallery in Newtown.

Gallery Presents "Spirits Of The Outlaws"

ArtWRKD presents “Spirits of the Outlaws: The Doan Gang and Bucks County,” part of its Show and Tell History Series where local history is brought back to life through storytelling, poetry, and original music. Beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, the program revisits the story of the Doan Outlaws, the infamous Bucks County Loyalists whose exploits during the American Revolution became part history, part folklore, and part local legend.

Harvest Day Returns To Streets Of Yardley

Harvest Day returns to the streets of Yardley for its 57th year on Saturday. The day long street fair annually attracts thousands of visitors from all over Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The event features unique crafters and artisans, businesses, kids and adult entertainment, activities, live music, and food. Admission is free.

Food Trucks, Fireworks And Touch a Truck

Falls Township’s Food Truck Festival and Touch a Truck events return to Falls Township Community Park Sept. 18 and 19. The Food Truck Festival kicks off the two-day community events beginning Friday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. with a variety of food truck fare, live music from Fish Out of Water, children’s activities, including Anywhere Mini Golf, a beer garden for guests 21+ with proceeds benefiting Fairless Hill Fire Department, and culminating with fireworks at 9 p.m. Touch a Truck will roar into the park Saturday, Sept. 19 beginning at 9 a.m. Featuring dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles and various types of heavy machinery, the township’s annual event kicks off with a sensory friendly quiet hour until 10 a.m. Truck operators will refrain from flashing their lights or blowing their air horns during this time.

Punk Crawl Features Salad Days Screening

A photo exhibition of the punk rock scene by legendary music photographer Jim Saah closes at Native Cafe in Doylestown on Saturday with a "Punk Crawl" across Doylestown. The event, called Salad Days, will unfold across several downtown locations, bringing together film, photography, music, and community in a shared celebration of one of America's most influential independent music movements. The documentary film,"Salad Days: A Decade of Punk In Washington, D.C." is the namesake for the event, and kicks off the day-long festivities with a 10th Anniversary Director's Cut screening at the County Theater.

Thousands To Gather In Bucks For AbbeyFest

AbbeyFest, Greater Philadelphia's premier Catholic faith and music festival, returns on Saturday, September 19, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. Celebrating its 12th year, AbbeyFest continues its mission of bringing people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through inspiring music, prayer, fellowship, and the sacraments. The day-long festival welcomes families, parish groups, young adults, and individuals seeking to celebrate their Catholic faith through worship, community, and music.
