1. Amazon Grant To Bring Hands-On STEAM Learning To Bucks Co. Students (patch.com) — Doylestown's Bucks County Intermediate Unit Fab Lab just secured a nearly $200,000 Amazon grant to expand hands-on STEAM learning for local students. The funding will boost Mobile Fab Lab school residencies, fifth-grade field trips, and family STEAM nights across Bucks County, giving thousands more children access to high-tech tools and creative career exploration.
   

2. Family Feud Turns Frightening When Gun Pulled At Bucks Co. Wawa: Police (patch.com) — Doylestown residents are at the center of a frightening confrontation that unfolded at a Warrington Wawa, where police say a man pointed a handgun at a relative during a parking-lot fight. Both he and a Doylestown woman now face multiple firearm and theft-related charges and are being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
   

3. Bigger, Better Porchfest Returning To Doylestown This Fall (patch.com) — Music lovers in Doylestown can look forward to an expanded Porchfest on Saturday, Oct. 3, when 28 porches across the borough will host about 90 musicians from noon to 6 p.m. The free, family- and pet-friendly event includes a planning app, printed maps, and online updates so residents can easily explore performances while supporting a volunteer-driven community celebration.
   

4. $2.6M In Grants Coming To Doylestown Area Projects, Institutions (patch.com) — Doylestown-area residents will see more than $2.6 million in state grants flow into local fire, police, healthcare, arts, and recreation projects, including upgrades for Doylestown Hospital, the Y skatepark, and American Legion Post 210. Investments in Moravian Tile Works, the Oscar Hammerstein Museum, and new police radios aim to boost safety, preserve history, and strengthen community spaces across Doylestown Borough and Township.
   

5. Bucks County Joins Nationwide "Save A Life" Day (patch.com) — Doylestown residents can pick up free naloxone and overdose-response information at the Bucks County Administration Building on Sept. 24 as part of the nationwide Save A Life Day. The event, one of ten across Bucks County, aims to expand access to the overdose-reversing medication and highlight harm-reduction strategies that connect people with local recovery and support resources.
