Chipotle Approved In Newtown

It's official: The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors have approved an application for a Chipotle eatery.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — It's official: an application for a Chipotle has been approved in Newtown.

The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors gave unanimous approval for the Mexican restaurant in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center during a meeting Wednesday.

The 2,500-square-foot restaurant will be located at 2930 South Eagle Road in a new building under construction at the shopping center. The restaurant will have outdoor seating, a Chipotle representative said during the hearing.

Hours will be 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

This will be the chain's fifth Bucks County location. Other Chipotle restaurants in Bucks County are located in Warrington, Doylestown, Trevose, and Warminster.

The fast-casual eatery is one of many new additions at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center as it undergoes a major renovation.

A drive-through Starbucks is currently under construction in the parking lot that is anchored by McCaffrey's.

Other additions include Factory Donuts, Nina's Waffles, Turning Point, and Melt Shop, a grilled cheese eatery. Steak Bar by Shula's has received approval to transfer a liquor license for a restaurant at the shopping center.
