Questions

1. Why are you running?

As a mom of a child who recently graduated from Council Rock High School South and the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, I have seen first-hand how great the staff, teachers and our community can be when we all work together. However, recent events have caused me concern and I felt the need to step up. There is now a generation of students who have had their education disrupted and I believe my business and life experiences will be an asset to the board to help get our children back on track. Focus needs to be placed on education and skills which enable every student to live a successful and prosperous life.

2. What are your top issues and how do you plan to address them?

The learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as current social challenges are having a direct impact on the ability of students to succeed. We need innovative strategies to encourage current and future students to focus on core academic subjects and ensure that our educational curriculum is relevant and engaging. It is also imperative to expose students at a young age to alternative career choices, especially the trades, and not only focus on higher education.

3. What in your experience or background prepares you for election to office?

As a candidate for the school board, I bring expertise in business administration, marketing, and organizational management, which can be invaluable in making critical decisions for the betterment of the school district. Additionally, my volunteer experience showcases my dedication to education and community, and my commitment to serving others. I have a well-rounded background, I have the capability to make informed decisions for the benefit of students, teachers, and the community. I am eager to contribute my knowledge and experience to the school board for the community I love and to work tirelessly to create positive change in education.
