Dump Truck Slams Into SUV On Swamp Road In Newtown Township
Newtown Township Police were on the scene of a crash between an SUV and a dump truck Wednesday morning.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A dump truck slammed into the side of an SUV Wednesday morning at the entrance to the Bucks County Community College.
The crash happened on Swamp Road at the east entrance to the Bucks County Community College across from Helen Randal Park.
The force of the crash pushed the SUV into the college's brick entrance sign causing significant damage to the SUV and front end damage to the truck.

Firefighters from Newtown Fire and Rescue were called to the scene for an extrication, but Chief Glenn Forsyth reported that the driver was extricated prior to their arrival.
According to a source, one person was transported to the hospital. The extent of injuries was not immediately known.

Newtown Township Police were on the scene throughout the morning documenting the crash, conducting interviews and directing traffic.
Scrappy's Auto Service was called to the scene to remove the quarry truck from the roadway while Bethman Auto Center hauled away the damaged SUV.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
