Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For More Storms In Eastern PA
Good news: once this next round of storms moves through, we have several days of sun in the forecast. Here is the timeline:
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for thunderstorms that could bring heavy rain, resulting in localized flooding in Eastern Pennsylvania starting Tuesday evening and going through Wednesday morning.
The Wednesday morning commute could be impacted. Cities that may be affected by urban flooding issue later Tuesday night into Wednesday morning rush hour include Philadelphia and New York City, Accuweather reports.
The storms are packing strong wind gusts and have the potential for flash flooding and frequent lightning strikes, AccuWeather said.

The next round of storms comes amid a very wet August. Last week, flooding closed highways, including part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It also stranded shoppers in the King of Prussia mall, and did unbelievable damage in Delaware County.
The Delaware River has been running above average levels for several weeks now, and authorities have warned against boating and tubing.

Today: A slight chance of thunderstorms, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a high near 80. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 9pm and 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 71. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. North wind around 8 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 79. North wind 8 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 83.
