Police Make Arrests For Assault, DUI In New Hope Borough

Police also investigated several accidents, juveniles on the railroad tracks, noise complaints and domestic disturbances.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — The New Hope Borough Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 24 and 30:

March 24

  • Officers responded to a traffic accident in the McDonald's parking lot. No injuries were reported.

  • A victim reported being harassed by a passing motorist around West Mechanic Street.
  • Officers assisted a resident with a civil dispute on West Bridge Street.

March 26

  • A victim reported being assaulted in the area of West Ferry Street and Stockton Avenue. The offender has been charged.

  • Officers conducted a traffic stop on West Bridge Street for a traffic violation. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was charged by summons.
  • Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1-10 block of West Ferry Street.
  • A noise complaint was reported in the area of 11-20 West Ferry Street.

March 28

  • A noise complaint was reported on West Bridge Street.
  • Police took a report of forgery. The crime was determined to have occurred outside the jurisdiction of the New Hope Borough Police Department and was referred to the appropriate agency.
  • Officers investigated a civil complaint on North Main Street.
  • Officers investigated a traffic accident at North Main Street and Bridge Street. No injuries were reported.

March 29

  • Officers investigated a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of South Main Street.
  • A driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on West Ferry Street.
  • Officers responded to reports of juveniles on the railroad tracks in the area of West Ferry Street.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance at Riverhill.
