UPDATE: Pennsylvania Manhunt For Woman Who Allegedly Hit Store Security Guard With Minivan

Police are asking for the public’s help in their search for a woman who they say shoplifted from a supermarket in New Jersey, then hit a store security guard with a vehicle when he went outside to confront her.

The woman had Pennsylvania license plates, so the search has been extended throughout the state and in Pennsylvania, police said.

Police on Monday released photos of the woman, who they previously said took $71.60 from the Manalapan store, then left the items behind after the security guard followed her in the parking lot.

According to a news release from Deputy Police Chief Michael Fountain:

Around 2:50 p.m. April 18, Manalapan police were called to Wegmans. But before they arrived, a loss prevention officer confronted the woman in the parking lot.

She got into a light-colored minivan that may have had a Pennsylvania license plate with the letters “JHF.”

Much of Bucks County is due immediately west of Manalapan.

As the security guard stood in front of the vehicle, she pulled out of the parking spot. The vehicle hit him, and he landed on the hood, then fell to the ground. Police have said he suffered minor injuries.
