Woman Killed 'Sugar Daddy' After He Cut Her Off: Bucks DA
A 33-year-old woman accused of killing the Washington Crossing man she called her "sugar daddy" is being held for trial on all charges.

A 33-year-old woman accused of killing the Washington Crossing man she called her "sugar daddy" appeared in court in Newtown Borough on Monday, and has been held for trial on charges of criminal homicide.
Jennifer Morrissey of Doylestown is accused in the shooting death of Michael McNew, 64. Authorities allege she killed McNew on Aug. 6 after he stopped supporting her financially, according to information from the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
According to authorities, McNew was found in a chair at his Washington Crossing home with a bullet wound to his head on Aug. 8 — two days after he was allegedly shot by Morrissey.

Prosecutors allege that Morrissey, who had shared McNew’s house for at least two years, was being evicted after the two had a falling out. She sent him several threatening text messages, then went to his house "against McNew’s wishes" and shot him to death with his own handgun, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
In the text messages obtained by detectives, Morrissey told McNew she was going to “stab ya” and “gut you like I’m field dressing a [expletive] deer.”

Once arrested, Morrissey told her jail cellmate she had accidentally killed McNew, who she called "my sugar daddy," authorities said.
She told the cellmate she struggled for control of the gun, then pushed him into a chair and accidentally shot him while trying to unload the weapon, a detective testified in court Monday. She admitted going back to the house after the shooting to stage a robbery scene.
Prosecutors allege she then tried to hide her role by sending notes over Facebook Messenger about benign topics like motorcycle colors and doctors appointments.
Morrissey, who will be arraigned Dec. 8, is being held without bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
