Surprisingly, that's even better than President Obama performed in Montgomery County in 2008. Obama won 56.52 percent, and a total of 233,356 votes against Mitt Romney.
Similarly, Kate McGinty also defeated Pat Toomey soundly in Montgomery County, despite losing the general election. In many ways, the U.S. Senate race mirrored the Presidential race in the state: both Clinton and McGinty held an early comfortable lead, which slowly evaporated as the night went on. Each lost by tiny, nearly identical margins hovering around one percentage point.
Western Montgomery County - the more rural areas - were dominated by Trump. Municipalities that leaned Republican stretched from Worcester and Skippack and included Lower Salford, Franconia, Limerick, Upper and Lower Pottsgrove, and New Hanover.

Here are results from several local races:
Republican Ryan Costello defeated Democrat Mike Parrish to hold on to his seat in U.S. Congress.
Democrat Andy Dinniman defeated Republican Jack London to defend his seat in the state legislature.
Democrat Pam DeLissio defended her state legislature seat in the Roxborough-Manayunk area.
Philly Democrats Bob Brady and Dwight Evans won U.S. Congress seats.
Republican State Rep. Robert Godshall won in the Lansdale area.
